With works by Katarína Bajkayová, Mária Bartuszová, Paula Benčaťová, Gideon Horváth, and Denisa Lehocká, the exhibition takes its title from Paul Celan, addressing themes of memory and fragility.

The Sand From The Urns brings together five artists whose practices are rooted in the physical behaviour of materials. Clay, plaster, wax, metal, and textile each respond differently to pressure, gravity, heat, and time. These forces do not simply act upon the works; they are integral to their formation.
Across the exhibition, organic forms, bodily fragments, and abstract objects refuse fixed contours. Their surfaces carry evidence of compression, erosion, casting, firing, or accumulation. Body, architecture, landscape, and biomorphic structures appear in close proximity, their boundaries continually dissolving into one another.
The exhibition takes its title from a material that has outlasted its original purpose. Sand from the urns points to matter marked by previous transformations. Time is embedded in these works through process rather than representation. Every intervention leaves a physical trace, extending the material into another state.
